SURVEYS
Our primary mission is to photo document these pristine caves as soon as they are discovered. It is one of the unfortunate results of discovery that inevitably leads to some degree of destruction. We feel that it is ONLY through photography that the essence of these rarely visited, fragile caves will be preserved.
The names of these areas have been taken where known. Many of the "Zodiac" and "Lens" caves were named in the early to mid 1980s by English dive teams lead by Rob Palmer (see references).
The areas of the "Lens" and "Zodiac" caves are shown here. A 1 km grid is used by the government for survey purposes. Field work done by Team Karst uses GPS.
